It's time to vote

If you have not yet cast your ballot for the two open positions on the RUSA Board of Directors, now is the time! Place your votes by November 30.

Candidate interviews and statements are available on the RUSA website, and we wanted to share our endorsement for two of the excellent candidates, Dawn Piech and Phil Fox.

Phil Fox rode the inaugural Coulee Challenge 1200k in 2018 and has since excelled in several ultra long distance cycling events, including PBP 2019 and 2023. He is passionate about the growth of American randonneuring and has a professional background in market research, marketing strategy, and community engagement. His immediate areas of focus include engagement (with the goal of more dialogue between RUSA and our membership), connectivity (improving social media presence and an expanded RUSA directory), and gamification (using digital badges, personalized dashboards and milestone trackers to make our awards more accessible, fun and engaging to track). Phil is determined to reinvigorate what's possible in American randonneuring, particularly here in the Midwest.

Dawn Piech has been on the RUSA board since 2021. During her first term she became the editor of Between Controls, the RUSA online newsletter, served on the Gravel Committee, led in the release of promotional videos, collaborated with another member to develop the RUSA YouTube channel and worked with members to develop a mission statement, values and organizational objectives and the RUSA awards survey. She was also the Incident Liaison officer in 2021-22. In 2020 Dawn founded the International Women's Day Together We Ride: Inspyrd Movement. She also rode our Coulee Challenge 1200k in 2018 and has participated in other Minnesota Randonneur events.

Good luck to all candidates!
